The Right Reverend Rommie Starks, Bishiop Ordinary of the Midwest, RiP

The Right Reverend Rommie M. Starks, Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of the Midwest, entered into life eternal on Monday, August 21st, 2023.  

Bishop Starks was a native of Covington, Kentucky. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Eastern Kentucky University. He graduated from Holyrood Seminary in 1984 and was ordained to the Priesthood by Bishop Joseph Deyman (his immediate predecessor) on the Feast of the Annunciation in 1985. In 2000, he was consecrated as the fourth Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the Midwest. In addition to serving as Bishop Ordinary of the Midwest, he served as director of the ACC's Department of Multi-Lingual Resources. 

There will be a visitation on August 31st at St. Edward’s pro-cathedral (6361 North Keystone Avenue, Indianapolis) from 2:00-5:00 pm. Archbishop Haverland will celebrate a requiem mass at St. Edward's the following day (September 1st) at 10:00 am.
