2022 Ordo Kalendar Available from Anglican Parishes Association

This year's calendar features art from medieval Books of Hours, such as the Adoration of the Magi  from BL Additional MS 18193.

The 2022 G-3 Anglican Ordo Kalendar is now available from the Anglican Parishes Association Book Publisher. This year’s Kalendar features art from medieval Books of Hours. In the Western Church during the Late Middle Ages, Books of Hours, or horae, were common manuals of devotion, with thousands of examples still surviving in libraries, museums, and private collections.  They represent an intermediate step between the monastic office and the development of the daily office in the Book of Common Prayer. The images in this Kalendar are taken from horae in the British Library’s manuscript collection, which are now available in the public domain.
