Author and journalist Rod Dreher will headline the Brockton Festival of Faith

On September 28th, St. Paul's parish (TAC) in Brockton, MA, will host their annual Michaelmas Festival of Faith.  The event will be headlined by author and journalist, Rod Dreher, who will be speaking about his bestselling book, The Benedict Option.

Mr. Dreher argues that Christians in the US "are beset by legal challenges to religious liberty," so "in order to withstand and prosper...Christians [must] embrace exile from mainstream culture and construct a resilient counterculture."

Archbishop Haverland, will serve as a member of the Distinguished Panel of Response, which after Mr. Dreher's presentation, will discuss the implications of his proposal.

Other members of the panel include The Rev. Dr. James P. Burns, President of St. Mary's University; Dr. Christopher Boyd Brown, Professor of Church History at Boston University; and the Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwike, Bishop of the Diocese of Ikeduru.

The festival will be followed by a pontifical mass at the parish on Sunday at 10:30 am.  Archbishop Haverland will celebrate, Bishop Maduwike will preach.

Further information on the Festival of Faith and the mass can be found on the St. Paul's parish website.
